Chapter 11

As the book says you can use these technologies in many different ways. Such as the audiocassette this could be used for group instruction so instead of just standing in front of the class and speaking this could be an alternative. The book also mentions how the MP3 player could also be used for this also so instead of having one large lecture you could break them down into smaller groups so it is more individualized. Another technology is is traditional media and an example of this is print materials. I feel that this could be used to show your class something at one time or to take notes in school i used to use these. The computer I think is the most valuable technology. Especially with the internet students can do all different kinds of things such as write papers, look up research etc.

Chapter 6 response

I would want to teach in a classroom with more digital technologies for many reasons. Once you have computer systems in the classroom the possibilities for expanding their capabilities by the addition of digital peripherals are enormous. You can also use pictures to capture moments so that you then can reflect on them at a later time. You can also share exactly what is on your monitor with the whole class instead of printing a whole page out for every student. You can also usually find a hardware or software for every need in the classroom which also make it very easier. Lastly you can also use a smart board or similar technologies so that you kids can get a hands on type of learning. These are all reasons why I would want technology in the class room.
